Love is a very strong thing and guests travelled from as far away as South America, Europe, the USA, and a few from around Australia too, to land in lovely Rosebank, NSW for yesterday's wedding. They wanted to be there for this special couple and distance wasn't going to stop them. It was a joining of two countries, Australia and Peru. Yes there were cultural differences. Yes there was a language barrier for many. But love builds bridges and removes all barriers, and the warmth generated by Alex and Mila and their beautiful family and friends yesterday was enough to melt the north pole!
Mila was relaxed and right on schedule for her big day.
Carmen and Laren help Mila dress...lotsa buttons.
The dapper Alex getting some help from wedding planner Roxy!
The setting was the family farm, amongst the macadamia trees.
Alex waits with his groomsmen Ed and Sam.
Mila and her bridesmaids arrived via tractor.
Nephews Byron and Kaelan threatened to steal the show with their petal throwing antics! Soooo cute!
Alex's bubbly sister Lauren.
Mila's gorgeous sister in law Carmen.
Mila and her parents do a little dance on the way down the aisle!
Alex looking very happy as Mila gets closer.
A humourous Mark said all the right things to get this couple hitched!
They did it!
So much happiness bubbling through the air!
Mila with her godmother.
The fabulous crowd!
A wander through the trees with the bridal party.
Best man Ed is one big dude and evidently strong too! After hearing his speech, I would definitely say he's a gentle giant with a big marshmallow centre!
The sun has set. Time to make a grand entrance for the reception. Each couple did a little boogie on their way in...some were less shy than others!
The Pisco may have had something to do with it!
Cirilo and Delia
Alan and Jan
Sam and Carmen
Ed and Lauren
...and the stars of the show, freshly minted newlyweds Alex and Mila!
MC extraordinaires Benny and Seb.
Speeches provided a lot, I mean a whole lot, of laughter!
Cake cut...with a bread knife cos it was there!
Then it was time for a dance and Mila and Alex surprised everyone with a few moves they had been practicing.
Such a wonderful day spent with this amazing group of people. The marquee was a hothouse of joy and love and it was a great beginning to a long, happy life together for Alex and Mila. And live life they will!
Congratulations to you both and I wish you much love and somehow, a bounty of unlimited frequent flyer points! Your families rock and your friends were pretty awesome too. Thanks for letting me share all the shenanigans with you. Big hugs of love...Natsky.
