So last Saturday's wedding was a bit of a heart explosion. It was a massive celebration of human connection between two awesome people, and also the connection amongst the tribe of amazing people they have gathered around themselves. So much love...everywhere!
Liam and Laura are two of the most open, generous of heart, interesting, warm, quirky, down to earth, funny people I have had the pleasure to photograph and their whole day was just one heart melt after another. Take a look at the pics and you will get a slight inkling...
Hosanna Farmstay...were I found a valley full of fabulous people!
Family and friends had come from all over the globe to attend this wedding, and many were spending days camping and cabinning at Hosanna...this wasn't a wedding...it was a love festival!
The boys impressed with their bowtie tying skills!
While waiting, Liam entertained all with his flossing skills. Apparently he is shy!
Maid of Honour Tess had the most amazing smile.
Love it when both parents walk the bride down the aisle.
...to the waiting Liam.
Close to 200 people gathered under the trees to hear the vows of Liam and Laura, complete with giggles, dancing, tears and much love.
Celebrant Laurie Pollard did a great job, explaining that this was their "second" wedding!
Tess read a beautiful poem she had written, which of course had the tears flowing.
Ain't he just the cutest ring bearer you ever did see!
Liam's mum Mary spent hours, days and weeks punching love heart shaped holes into gum leaves to make confetti...smelled and looked amazing!
Little gummy love hearts everywhere!
Have no idea if the two confetti love hearts in the hair were intentional, but bonus points to Eric!
After the ceremony there was time to relax...
Apparently some people don't like to be tickled.
Time for badminton, with or without a kilt.
Whatever you call this game, Palikka, Kubb or Molkky
...everyone was loving it.
Love and shenanigans on the 3 foot diving board!
This just epitomises the zany, fun nature of this pair!
Got to agree!
The meaning behind this handmade gift was truly special.
Poor Liam is lost for words as emotion takes over.
Also celebrating 39 years of marriage on the same day, Tess' parents!
...and then it was time to kick up those heels!
Fires burned into the night keeping bodies warm but it was the love in the air that was keeping hearts warm.
To Liam and Laura,
I have had a mere glimpse into your world, but it is one to treasure and is a rare delight!
I wish you more of what you already have, 'cos it obviously makes you both grin big!
Massive hugs and love from Natsky.
