It rained on Saturday...a lot. It was raining when I woke and looked out the window to check the weather. It was raining as I drove to a family property in Nimbin that afternoon. It was still raining as I got out of the car and geared up with cameras. For the next half an hour as I clicked away at the gathering guests, you guessed it, rain...though it was easing...and then slowly, it stopped. As bride and groom walked towards each other flanked by their family, through the dark clouds and over the misty mountains, the sun came out, big, bright and beautiful. It was almost as bright as Sue's beaming smile and the constant twinkle in Gary's eyes! With warm vibes radiating through the whole loving crowd, the cold and wet was forgotten as Gary and Sue declared their love and were married in the sunshine...and then it started to rain again!
Dark clouds cleared and the sun came through...just in time! Gary waits with his family.
Sue arrives with her family around her and the two groups are joined to become one big bundle of awesome!
Sue's boys give her away.
Gorgeous friend, Gwen Trimble conducted a beautiful ceremony.
Gary is one of those people you meet who is always smiling and ready to live life to the full. Sue is a bubbly firecracker with a generous heart that embraces all she loves and cares about. Together they are one big orb of optimistic amazing delight!
Lots of happy tears here!
...and once married, it was time for cuddles with all the grand-babies!
The signing took a little longer than usual as all the grandkids signed the register too...even the bubbas!
Then it was time to celebrate with hugs, tears, laughter and love...so much joy and happiness in the air for this couple.
These two are just mad for each other and so full of life...special to see.
More pesky rain and too happy to care!
One more brief burst of sunshine.
Time for cake and speeches, including some cute words from the grand daughters.
The bridal dance started off very formal, with bows and all...should have known this fun couple would do something crazy though...everyone ended up surrounding them as they led family and friends in the hokey-pokey...totally hilarious!
Such a special celebration for a fabulous couple. The energy and love in the air was wonderful to be around and I kinda wish I didn't have to leave. I'm sure the rest of the evening would have been a wonderfully fun adventure, just like the life that Gary and Sue live.
Congratulations beautiful people. Keep spreading your joy and living your love.
Massive hugs from Natsky.
